At 3:12 p.m. Feb. 6, Anchor Point Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to a single-vehicle accident near Mile 10 of East End Road. The investigation revealed that the vehicle was heading towards Homer on East End Road when the driver and sole occupant, Kenneth Hahn, 65, of Homer, suffered medical problems while driving and entered the ditch. Hahn was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin has been notified. The case is still ongoing.
On February 6 at 9:02 p.m., Soldotna Alaska State Troopers received a report of an after-the-fact domestic violence scare assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect has been identified as Dylan R. Yeager, 43, of Soldotna. After investigation, Dylan R. Yeager, 43, of Soldotna, was arrested for third and fourth degree domestic violence and taken to Wildwood Pretrial Facility.
On February 6 at 10:59 p.m., Soldotna Alaska State Troopers performed a traffic stop on a red 2003 Ford Ranger near Mile 16 of the Kenai Spur Highway for multiple equipment violations. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle has been identified as Paul W. Hermis, 40, of Kenai. After investigation, Hermis was arrested for driving while his license was revoked (with previous convictions over the past 10 years) and for violation of bail conditions and was taken to Wildwood before trial without bail.
On February 8 at approximately 7:50 p.m., Soldotna Alaska State Troopers received a domestic violence assault report. After investigation, 57-year-old Shelley M. Maddock of Nikiski was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence and taken to Wildwood Pretrial Facility.
On February 7 at approximately 5:10 p.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence near Island Lake Road in Nikiski, attempting to contact a man with multiple outstanding warrants. The man was eventually spotted walking on Island Lake Road near Mark Boulevard and wearing a blonde wig. After a short foot chase, 33-year-old Brandon lee Baer of Nikiski was apprehended and arrested on his warrants with initial charges of first- and second-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree robbery, theft at fourth-degree, third-criminal mischief, two counts of breach of parole, breach of probation and failure to appear for arraignment and was taken to Wildwood Pretrial on $5,500 bond.
On February 9 at around 1:20 a.m., Soldotna Alaska State Troopers Dispatch received a call from Terra Murphy, 49, of Homer, reporting that she was stuck in a ravine on her snowmobile in an area of McNeil Canyon, and that she was cold, tired and injured trying to get her snowmobile out of the ravine. Kachemak Emergency Services responded and located Murphy about two miles from the trailhead and took her to the South Peninsula Hospital for treatment of her injuries and non-putting hypothermia. life in danger.

On February 8 at 12:46 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on North Fork Road near Sayer Road in Homer. Investigation showed Annemali Abrahamson, 40, of Anchor Point, was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. It was also discovered that she had a three-year-old child in the vehicle at the time. Abrahamson was arrested and taken to Homer Jail, where her blood alcohol level was tested, and she was charged with driving under the influence and first-degree endangerment of the welfare of a minor , then handed over to a sober adult.
On February 9 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Soldotna AST performed a traffic stop on a purple 1999 Chrysler sedan near Mile 13 of the Kenai Spur Freeway for an equipment violation. After a records check, Michael W. Foree, 47, of Kenai, received a citation for misdemeanor driving with license suspension (with a previous conviction within the past 10 years) and released on his own recognizance.
At 6:24 p.m. on February 9, Kenai Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on First Street in Kenai. Tyler M. Marlatt, 34, of Kenai, was arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and taken to Wildwood Pretrial Facility.
At 1:01 p.m. on January 29, Kenai Police responded to a traffic accident near the Kenai Spur Highway and Marathon Road. After investigation, Thomas W. Hillis, Jr., 28, of Kenai, received a summons on February 3 for false information.
At 9:18 a.m. on February 8, Kenai’s pre-trial law enforcement officers notified the Kenai Police Department that Jacob D. Parrish, 25, of Kenai, was in possession of a controlled substance. . Parrish was arrested for fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and remanded to Wildwood Preliminary Institution.
On January 17 at 12:15 p.m., Kenai Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. After an investigation, Leroy B. Hoeldt, 60, of Kenai, was issued a summons on February 8 for first and second degree vehicle theft.
At 8:55 p.m. on February 1, a Kenai police officer contacted a vehicle near Bridge Access Road and Tern Avenue that appeared to be broken down. After contacting all relevant parties, 24-year-old Krysten SD Meierotto of Kenai received a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle.
On February 1 at 11:45 p.m. Kenai Police responded to a disturbance call near a residence on Candlelight Drive in Kenai. After investigation, a 17-year-old girl from Kenai was arrested for fourth degree assault (domestic violence) and taken to the juvenile detention center.
At 11:44 p.m. on January 31, a Kenai police officer conducted a routine traffic stop near the Kenai Spur Freeway and Candlelight Drive. After investigation, Sharon L. Alexie, 31, of Kenai, was arrested for violation of bail conditions and fifth degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and was taken to Wildwood Pretrial.
